Anyone still struggling with the jittering when recording pointing downwards? Sent it to Panasonic under warranty and they sent it back but the issue is still there. Spoke with the tech who worked on the camera directly and he said he did not see the problem. He obviously did not even read the note and DVD with clips of the jittering that I included with the unit when I sent it in.

Now, it's time to get through the credit card warranty coverage to get this fixed. Cannot believe a year later and Panasonic is still not able to fix this damn problem!

Going over to Sony after this unit.

Hello,

I know this is here somewhere, and I tried searching but couldn't find it. I also first looked in the owners manual, as I thought it was there and again, couldn't find it.

I would like to re-load video files that I have erased from my TM700, back to the TM700 from my PC.

Can someone point me to where the steps are to do this, it is very very much appreciated!

Hi all,

So there's a lot of great information that I've been scouring on this thread but haven't found an answer here or anywhere else on the interwebs for my particular problem.

I have a TM700 but only CS3 to edit with. In the long run I'm definitely going to do the upgrade but right now I just don't have the cash for it so my question is what is the best way to be able to edit the footage in CS3?

At my disposal I have Clipwrap and MPEG Streamclip but can't figure out the right conversion combination (or perhaps project settings?) to get my clips to run smoothly in Premiere without a bunch of render time. I don't care about editing at the highest quality but would like to at least maintain a 720p output.

Please, any advice you have would be much appreciated.

You didn't say what you are trying to accomplish in CS3 so my suggestion may not be what your looking for.

Consider using 'HD Writer" that came with the TM700 to clip and cut your clips to what you want to work with. It will preserve the original clips and make new ones that keep what you want and it does it efficiently with the original quality intact. Then you will only have to work with your new "premium" clips in your editor. The learning curve for HD Writer is short because it is limited to a specific set of basic tasks.

If you want to chop off unwanted scenes from a single clip, the best tool that I've ever tested among all others is Smart Cutter it's frame accurate and it's only $40 but it works perfectly without encoding or transcoding your footage it output the video fast that's how you know it's not re-encoding it.

Help Please, I have the Pan HDC-TM700 and for years I have been able to "Copy to Media" and burn DVD's for the footage I have loaded into the HD Writer AE2.1. Most of my footage in in 1080/60p format. All of a sudden about a week or two ago, I can no longer copy my media to DVD's using the software. Every time I try, it gets about 95% of the way through and I get an error message that says "An error occured while the disc images were being created. Copying will be canceled." I even tried to intstall the software on my son's laptop and I get the same error message. I called Panasonic and they are supposed to call me back but we all know how that goes. Any suggestions? Thanks

What are these firmware upgrades people are talking about for the TM700? I understand that they are only available via Panasonic but what to they fix/improve?
