correct, even if misleading (if you mean WIndows detection)! It means: 2 channels
uncompressed audio (LPCM), which is the maximum bandwidth for S/PDIF. If you want to sent multichannel
compressed audio just set your application to do so. But it will work only for AC3. DTS will only work when encapsulated in a WAV stream. Best solution for S/PDIF is just using an optical or coaxial cable for audio.
