It was weird...during some content on Blu Ray, like
Starship Troopers or
Torchwood: Children of Earth I barely noticed it, to the extent that I thought I could completely live with the issue. There was maybe 2 or 3 instances of fb's and they were minor.
Then I bought
Deadwood on Blu Ray...floating blacks were obvious during pretty much any scene taking place at night, and they would appear multiple times during scenes. If the editing was cutting from one person to another, and the lighting was different from one shot to another, the blacks would shift.
DVD wasn't much better, especially content like
Angel season 5 for example...the fb's were atrocious, but I would chalk that up to it being a show that has a lot of dark/shadowy lighting.
It's a nice set if it wasn't for that...some people say they can't see floating blacks on the 2010 Panny Plasmas, but I'm of the opinion once you see them, you can't UNSEE them.
