The BD550/BD570 are hitting stores now (2/23/2010), and hopefully the BD590 in a few weeks. Please post any impressions here.

Picasa Web Albums
AccuWeather
All Internally decode TrueHD and DTS MA (Lossless)
All Profile 2.0 out of the box

What they don't Feature (as of right now; unknown if ever):
3D Unknown if any of these players will be upgradeable via Firmware to 3D capable. LG ha snot said either way.
5.1/7.1 Analog Outs (the now discontinued BD390 does, however)

LG has put the players up on their web site:

http://www.lge.com/us/tv-audio-video/video/index.jsp

I was all set to purchase the BD590, feature set is excellent, price was acceptable. Then I saw that it lacked 7.1 outputs. My receiver doesn't support HDMI. Alas.

I had planned to use it as my digital audio server too, I really like the 250GB drive and CD ripping feature.

OP finished. If you feel anything needs to be corrected or added please let me know. I'd like to be able to point people to the OP with any questions they may have.

glad to see some real differences in capabilities among their players here....if you want wireless and dlna (full connectivity on board) you need to get the 570...otherwise get the 550. if you want on onboard hdd get the 590. makes it pretty easy to decide rather than having devices only $20 apart in price that are almost identical like sony...now i just have to decide between the lg 570, the panny 85 and the sony 570....the sony lists for 250 vs 300 for the others, i guess we'll see how they all perform.

Finally, I'll be picking up a 570 whenever Uncle Sam pays me back for this year's loan.

FWIW: The 570 is priced between 250 and 280 at any online retailer currently listing it.

Do any of them have the 5.1/7.1 analog outputs?

They do have analog outs, but only 2 channels, classic L/R outputs. I'm sure you meant to say 5.1 / 7.1 outs.

A lot of the CEs are dropping 5.1/7.1. Just not cost-effective since HDMI receivers continue to grow.

Well it's not just because of that but also because of what I spoke of yesterday where it won't read my BD-R disks.

Are you sure it was the 590 - the one with the internal harddrive? Happen to catch a price? I'll buy the first one I see, since Best Buy has a 45 day return policy.
Yep- they had one in stock. $379 I believe.

45 days into the new year? I'm going to try and find a 10/12% off coupon for BB and try and nab myself a 590 this weekend. If so, unsure if I'll sell my 390 or my Insignia...

Will post pictures later.

First hand - It's wider than the BD390 both in the front and back. Much faster.
