Crown 402D: leave it on 24/7?

Hi Folks,

I've been reading a lot about the Crown 402D, and it sounds like it suits my home theater needs perfectly. I want to power my Monitor 70s (left / right channel), and I'm wondering how people have chosen to use amps like this in home theater setups.

Ideally (but not realistically) I would have a power center that turned the amp on and off with my receiver. So my choice now is leave it on 24/7, or always turn it on & off manually. Is there a smart way to do this?

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, if so please forward me there, I couldn't find anything.

Thanks for the input!

I use one of these "smart strips" to automatically turn my pro amps on and off with my pre-pro: http://www.smarthomeusa.com/ShopByMa...td./Item/LCG3/

Thanks, RR, I'll have a look.

I had a CE2000 and left it on 24/7 UNTIL it started smoking. A cap must of went and actually burned up the main board. I had it mounted remotely and just glad it didn't burn the house down.
