Followed the instructions in post #695 as to setting up media sharing.
So my computer shows up on the Photo screen on the S570 and I can show my picture folders. But instead of seeing a thumbnail pic it shows an icon of a faint blue camera. When I press enter to open the pic a rotating circle starts in the top right corner of the screen and after 30 seconds a pic of a torn in half page icon shows in the middle of the screen.
How can I get this far and still not be able to view any .jpg's of my pics stored on the computer

Note: I have already installed the latest firmware update
I also have Vista and saw no choice for sharing media streaming. I only have media sharing which I turned on.
Update: Oh well, no responses but I finally figured it out myself anyway.
For others that run into the same issue here are the steps I did to use the DNLA feature for pics or music stored on my PC and can now view them on my TV through the S570.
Make sure you first do the most recent firmware update (some of the older versions did not have DNLA support).
Go into your PC's control panel> click on network sharing and turn on media sharing.
Then do this setup on your S570's screen:

Make sure you have a recent Windows Media Player version (mine was already version 11).
My original hang up was I did everything right and could see the Windows media Icon under on my S570's home page under photos and could see each pic folder, but the photo's would not open for viewing. Sony customer support was useless. I wasted 45 minutes on the phone only for him to tell me to re-boot each device and finally he said my photo files were corrupted. What a jerk. I asked for the next level support person and he was the one who emailed me the link above (but I already got that far so he was useless too. I still had the same problem, pics would not open.
The fix is to go into Windows Media Player and click tools>options>library . . . (Windows Media Player "also" needs permission to share your files) you do this by clicking on the "configure sharing button" and then check off the box at the top that says "share my media".
I tried to view a photo back on the TV again and they magically opened this time. Pretty cool to sit on your couch and view auto slide shows on my 65 inch TV over the home network even though the PC is in the kitchen. Also plays my music files too that are stored on my PC.
Note: Don't forget to leave your PC on to view pics through the S570. If it's asleep, the windows media player icon on your S570 home screen will be grayed out. Just wake it up and the icon will be in color again.
