I reluctantly returned my BD57 and picked up a Panasonic BDT 110. Here is my initial comparison:
BX57 (S570):
Pro:
* Includes dual-band wifi. It will be very useful to many but I prefer wired connection and don't use wi-fi for streaming.
* Slightly faster boot up than Panny.
* SACD playback. I already had a Pioneer Elite player that plays back SACD (with HDMI DSD output). So, not important for me.
* On board BDLive storage
Con:
* Very basic netflix interface with bare minimum features
* No fan of the Sony PlayStation style home screen
* DLNA is barely funtional and can't be controlled on the PC side.
Panny BDT110:
Pro:
* Comes with free Avatar 3D via mail in rebate. That's the main attraction for me to get the BDT110.
* 2D to 3D conversion in player. So, if your 3D TV doesn't support such conversion, the player will do it for you. My TV already has this feature, so I have no use for it.
* Cheaper price (see cons).
* Superior Netflix interface. It is equal to PS3 version with the support of DD Plus 5.1 audio and search functionality. It does have occasionally blank screen bug but by far it is light years ahead of the Netflix feature offered by Sony.
* Slightly better DLNA implementation and offer the capability of been controlled from PC (Win7 Play To support!).
Con:
* Slightly slower startup speed than Sony (a few seconds).
* No wifi on-board. You need buy optional Panny wifi adapter. Again, I don't need wi-fi.
* No BD Live storage. You need to insert your own SD card to get the storage. I have plenty of SD cards laying around. So, not an issue for me.
The main reason for the switch is Avatar 3D BD disc. That's all I care. Otherwise, Sony is a decent piece of hardware. Much faster than two other BD players I have. I have no problem recommend it to anyone who is interested in a 3D player but not so muxh as a Netflix player.

Its replacement model BDP-BX58 apparently does.
I have the BX57.

and be a much better bet. Or more reputable, bigger seller like Overstock.com will sell "genuine" manufacturer refurbs as well.
