Mass effect 3 - Page 37

FYI, the maps are out.

The resurgence packs to get the characters, weapons, etc, however, are NOT. Don't spend your credits yet.
Everyone was trying to play one level up from normal to get credits. We'd have to kick people who were level 7 characters. Even had to kick a level 20 because the person really sucked. No one wanted to gel either.

Multiplayer news - if you are saving credits for the DLC, DO NOT BUY any packs until you see a specific "resurgence pack" in the store. People are reporting spending millions of credits and getting no new characters.

The best is to regroup, draw them to you, kill as many as you can, then when the clock gets close have everyone sprint to the extraction point so you gee the full extraction.

OK, but that's why I don't play Silver anymore and I'd need patient folks to play with on that distant day when I try Gold. Bronze seems to have random rounds of at least Silver toughness thrown in, where suddenly dozens of mid- to high-level baddies are everywhere. Sometimes it's during the extraction, and not every one of them goes well due to inattention paid to all sides and insufficient firepower. However, since people who play Bronze rarely talk let alone follow you to the current objective, you have to go with simple strategies and hope they work out.

Gandalf, my Turian Sentinel, is what I'm using to gain credits for packs. When I'm alone at the extraction point while the others are out killing stuff, I toss powers and shoot what's in sight just like always. Overload and the Phaeston VI (so far) assault rifle still kill well half-way across the board, although after what must be hundreds of packs I STILL haven't gotten a single assault rifle barrel mod, which annoys me. I prefer the locations that have choke points so everybody has to crowd through a door to get to you, but without people tossing grenades or something into those doors while you do something else, it's not fun.

Packs are all I'm playing for now that all my (current) classes are Level 20, so I can get materiel for eventually playing Gold. I *need* as many of the D-pad items as you are allowed to carry since I suck. Picking myself up off the ground, or preventing myself from getting there, is important. Every time someone mentions they carry 5 rocket launchers and other items, I groan over my bad luck in only having one extra ammo reload so far. Seems so unfair.

I might just up and quit next week, if The Witcher 2 I pre-ordered is good, unlike Prototype or Crysis 2, now both languishing in the part-done pile. At least I've only got three Achievements left in this one...

I should be on some tonight. I'd really like to finish the rest of the gold runs, but I know I'll also want to try out the new characters.

ME3 Resurgence Pack is out on X360 but you wouldn't see it if you select the Resurgence Pack picture. You need to go into the New Releases, select Resurgence Pack in between two Final Fantasy XIII-2 pictures. Download size is 166MB.

Not at PSN store yet.

That's just the maps. As far as I can tell, the resurgence 'packs' containing the characters, upgrades, etc. are NOT out yet.

Bioware just posted that the Resurgence packs are fixed.

After installed Resurgence Pack, I can see locked new characters such as Geth, Batarian, etc. I only played one session and it was on Firebase Condor on one of the Palaven’s moons. It was refresh having to figure out where the ammos boxes are. This is not a generic map from the game mission. The base heavily shielded on one side at higher ground which most of us stayed.

I only tried buying 2 Recruit packs but didn't get anything useful.

Yeah, I can't wait to try out the Geth Engineer! Once I unlock the character, all my current experience from my level 17 Human engineer will transfer, right?

You'll have a level 17 Geth Engineer, yes.
Both the geth look really awesome. I like the infiltrator as well, turn on cloak, turn on hunter mode. Get in the right position and then blast away.

yes, if you get a geth engineer, it will also be at level 17 (assuming it all works the same way it has worked since the demo)

I got the Krogan battlemaster and the javelin. Any thoughts on speccing him?
I play 4 missions to get enough for a Spectre pack, and what do *I* get?

Turian Sentinel (my current guy) and a powers reset card.

Who do I bribe for a better drop?...

I need a clarification on Sabotage: if I see the Atlas glowing after I use the power on it, is it really working, since the wiki page on that power says 'synthetics' but isn't all that detailed? I didn't have any luck convincing my team to leave it alone to see what would happen, but it KINDA looked like it was attacking things at its feet rather than us.

I've put my Quarian Infiltrator away now, but it seemed like a good idea to try it...
I spent a ton on spectre packs, then later tonight find premium spectre packs back. So far.... nothing new. Ugh.

Yes, Sabotage will hack an Atlas or Turret.

Got the Geth infiltrator tonight. Wow. Specced him for weapons/sniper bonus and took the javelin. He gets an added bonus if you use a Geth weapon. First wave on white...four cannibals taken out with one shot! The hunter mode is really cool too.

Got the krogan battlemaster to 15. He can take ALOT of punishment. He also gets booted a lot. Not sure what that's about.

really want that geth infiltrator.... myself and 4 friends all got the krogan within 2-3 spectre packs... another friend got the justicar.
So the pack that costs 60,000 says it has the chance to also get new characters and weapons.

So I purchased 8 of them, spent all my credits, and all I got was two new weapons I will never ever use, and tons of rockets. Frak I was pissed last night to no end when I turned it off. It shouldn't be this hard to get the new characters, let us enjoy them instead of playing for a week to get credits to get nothing. By the time I get the new characters I will have moved on to another game and won't have time to play ME3 anymore.
