OK, but that's why I don't play Silver anymore and I'd need patient folks to play with on that distant day when I try Gold. Bronze seems to have random rounds of at least Silver toughness thrown in, where suddenly dozens of mid- to high-level baddies are everywhere. Sometimes it's during the extraction, and not every one of them goes well due to inattention paid to all sides and insufficient firepower. However, since people who play Bronze rarely talk let alone follow you to the current objective, you have to go with simple strategies and hope they work out.
Gandalf, my Turian Sentinel, is what I'm using to gain credits for packs. When I'm alone at the extraction point while the others are out killing stuff, I toss powers and shoot what's in sight just like always. Overload and the Phaeston VI (so far) assault rifle still kill well half-way across the board, although after what must be hundreds of packs I STILL haven't gotten a single assault rifle barrel mod, which annoys me. I prefer the locations that have choke points so everybody has to crowd through a door to get to you, but without people tossing grenades or something into those doors while you do something else, it's not fun.
Packs are all I'm playing for now that all my (current) classes are Level 20, so I can get materiel for eventually playing Gold. I *need* as many of the D-pad items as you are allowed to carry since I suck. Picking myself up off the ground, or preventing myself from getting there, is important. Every time someone mentions they carry 5 rocket launchers and other items, I groan over my bad luck in only having one extra ammo reload so far. Seems so unfair.
I might just up and quit next week, if The Witcher 2 I pre-ordered is good, unlike Prototype or Crysis 2, now both languishing in the part-done pile. At least I've only got three Achievements left in this one...
