I have yet to get a single DLC character or weapon.

I just can't use it all the time, even in Bronze. The lines distract me, although the lower shields weren't an issue because I still find rocket troopers who have fired just before I round the corner, like THEIR wall-piercing vision works well too. I turn it on when the power recharge boost seems important, but that's as high as it goes now.

I'm still wondering if the last update tweaked either my Overload or the damage things like Husks can take in various locations. It used to be a 1-shot-kill for Husks, now I often need two. Cannibals are awful, sometimes taking 4 shots and plenty of rifle-fire, but I'm not sure they haven't been eating. I even used a respec card to cut the number of targets back to two and increase the damage to counteract the change in Hunter Mode, but no real improvement. Annoying...

I got Kishock Harpoon gun and Geth Shotgun. But both are very heavy weapons. I'm never good in quick aim and hit on moving target with heavy snipers like Widow. Maybe the Geth Shotgun can be useful playing Vanguard or Infiltrator. Anyone likes Raptor sniper rifle? It's light weight with very high firing rate and stable with scope but weaker damage than most sniper rifle. Still more damage than assault rifle.

I guess that's how Bioware ensures players keep coming back to ME3 MP. You can't buy only the characters or weapons that you want.

At this point I might just wait for the guaranteed character on Tuesday. I've done what I'm supposed to for the weekend. That or go to EA support chat and complain/make sure I have the DLC enabled. I have been playing on the new maps, so I don't get why I can't get any of the new stuff...

Yeah that seems wrong.

While I have two new characters, I've already gotten one of them re-unlocked so I'm not counting on anything new on Tuesday. Besides, I'll be spending time on The Witcher 2 and might not be back.

Did get a lesson today. Only my 'speaker' in the Lobby was blue so I commented on it, and the leader plugged in his mic and we chatted during the game. When *I* reboot my 360 with no mic plugged in, it's still blue. Apparently, the Kinect registers as a mic even if you have that feature deactivated. So since *he* heard me despite having a red speaker, odds are people who never respond to things like "I'm at the objective and I'm about to die: come help!" are just jerks...

Played one final round today. Unlocked geth engineer. So I guess it wasn't me - just really bad luck. My next PSP got me a geth SMG.

Not sure hunter mode is worth it on the engineer. I'd rather have overload I think. I ended up promoting the engi class to start over after screwing up. My thoughts so far:

- Sentry turret's shield restore is more important than damage, especially for those pesky hack missions.

- Hunter mode means 50% less shields. Ouch. Speed increase is nice, but it really messes with sitting under cover.

- Maxing out the 4th tree (weapon damage focus), I geta 32.25% damage bonus if using a geth weapon. Enemies literally bleed away with the geth sub machine gun. I haven't tried it yet with the geth shotgun. Assault rifle is nice, too. Javelin... hmm...

Geth Engineer is great, but so is having the game scale to a lower number of participants. Leader quit in first round and after the new leader was selected, it was me and I was alone. Firebase Hydra had too many openings for them to walk through if the game hadn't toned down the difficulty and had them MOSTLY come at me from one direction. The room with the circular display thingy was where I spent most of the game, with a turret in the doorway toward the big open section. Only one wave bothered to circle around the other way, and I was running around restoring the turret and killing Geth. Nailed one Prime with a rocket launcher, but missed the second one and had to wittle him down with Overload. The scaling was MOST obvious here as I *never* get a Prime to die that fast in a normal game, but it worked. Run, run, run.

Got the money for Wave 3 (4 doodads to activate) and Wave 5 (stay-in-the-circle) but at Wave 10 I had to kill another Prime just to start, so when I got knocked down I gave up to save the gel for a real game and took my VERY well earned 6,150 credits.

Once I realized it wasn't a full-fledged game it was a mixture of excitement and boredom waiting for their next move, since they'd normally have taken my head off in Wave 1, but it was surprising how far I did get.

Oh, and minimal Hunter Mode (10 points worth) kept me apprised as to where they were so it HAS its uses...

I do 6/6/6/5/3 with the geth engineer. Fitness isn't a big deal with this class (even on gold) since you can see where everyone is and your turret acts as a decoy and healer. Hunter, overload, and turret are all vital in my opinion. Might as well use another engineer if you don't use hunter mode. 6/6/6/4/4 would be my second option. I been using the geth plasma shotgun with it, and will try the falcon next (tech bursts and whatnot).

Give me another character with Overload and that turret, along with grenades if I get to pick, and I'll switch. Seeing through walls is OK, but only when you're in a position where walls are close enough to see through and somebody is there. Even exploding tech armor has more offensive value to me, but I'm an up-close person since I noticed that most mid-level guys don't respond well to automatic rifle fire while you run right in their faces. Guardians back up, and you can eventually shoot through the slot most of the time. Lower shields with Hunter Mode on (not to waste power recharge perk) isn't an issue if they can't shoot you, and overloaded enemies tend to shake too much for that.

And you must not toss Overload a lot if you go for a gun weight total of less than +160%. Phaeston IX (sole equipment) is +164%. Power, shoot 3 seconds, repeat. Everybody dies, although it takes luck for a Banshee to stay busy with your flamethrower turret to get the kill on your own. More than a few times I needed a pickup trying that, but when it works it's excellent.

This is why when I see videos of people in Gold matches hiding for the whole thing, the fun just escapes me. Silver is probably doable, but my hard luck even with people who usually win, makes me stick with Bronze. More sport, I guess...

You get cooldown bonuses when using hunter mode, and cooldown reduction with overload itself. Can spam overload plenty. Hunter mode vastly improves when you get the sixth upgrade to see 50% further and run faster. He's an offensive or defensive character. Seems like you already made up your mind so I won't go further.

Unlocked the batarian soldier last night and added another level to my black widow (as if that thing wasn't op enough ). Now to figure out how to spec the soldier, which isn't a class I'm very good at, to be honest.

I think the salarian infiltrator is still my favorite. Paired with a black widow, its just sick. Its ideal on certain maps, for obvious reasons; long lines of sight are crucial. I went 6/6/6/6/0. The prox mine is great for the big guys. I took the power use as the last iteration of cloak. So I can get off a mine or energy drain and usually 2 or all 3 shots before decloaking.

Depending the lobby, I usually alternate between my asari adept, my human engineer or the salarian infiltrator. I'll probably play around with the batarian tonight on bronze to see if I can find a playstyle that works for me.

FYI, found this link if anyone wants to share class builds:

I usually like the fitness setup but maybe I'll give your build a try for my salarian infiltrator.

TBH, I really like builds where I'm only really spamming one or two powers (preferably in combo), but prox mine fired while cloaked may work out quite well.

I only use prox mine for brutes, primes, etc. Everything else goes - cloak, energy drain, shoot, repeat. For the big ones its cloak, mine, shoot, repeat. Energy drain is used to replenish shields or finish them off.

Will try it out after I'm done experimenting with my geth engineer!

I was in a match last night with a Geth Engineer who had his turret set up for shield recharge and he would drop it where ever I set up. I never had to use energy drain to recharge my shield. I made sure to add him and send a note after the round. Basically I was able to control over half the map that way.
yeah I'm definitely enjoying playing geth engineer more than any other class.

Same. N7 Sniper, no big deal.

Tried the Geth plasma shotgun. Didn't work out for me. Only the lowest level Cerberus guys died instantly, although I'm not sure that the little beads I saw flying to more distant targets were the real killing power, since those sometimes went to places the target USED to be.

Back to the Phaeston IX and hopes for X soon...

I got N7 Hurricane machine gun from the Commendation Pack. I have to say it's the worse weapon I ever used. The gun behaves like giving a machine gun to a shooter that doesn't know how to hold a gun. It just spreads the bullets all over the place and I can't even hold the gun straight. Can't imagine by such pointless gun ever be issued as "N7" weapon other than as a joke.

Another gun that is almost as useless that I got from the resurgence pack is Geth shotgun. It has a delay before able to shoot. I got myself killed several times because the gun is so slow and very slow reload.

I know it's random chance in getting good weapons from "special" packs but I found just about every weapon I got are the worst. I still mostly use the regular issued weapons because they are reliable.

That thing can be wicked when fully charged and its very accurate. It does take some getting used to, however.

N7 Valiant Sniper rifle is one of the best weapons in the game. I don't really find a delay with the Geth Shotgun, and it's even great at medium-long range. Maybe you're seeing a delay because it's a charged weapon and you're holding the trigger a little too long.
For me, the geth shotgun is one of the best weapons in the game.

So does it get 'charged' somehow, like Rotoman mentioned? I never really had time to hold the trigger, although I noticed delays sometimes trying to fire it.

Did get Phaeston X today and now my power cooldown is at +170%, so instead of 3 Bronze games to buy two 20K packs, I'll go back to 4 games and a Spectre pack just in case something good shows up there...
^Hold down the trigger to charge it. Mine is only level IV and it can 1 or 2-shot most non-boss enemies. As previously mentioned, it does take time to get used to (plus the controller will be shaking the entire time as well).
OK, next time I'm feeling adventurous I'll try that.

http://narida.pytalhost.com/me3/mpchecklist/ seems to have changed. I *swear* it had a max of 10 rocket launchers the last time I looked. Does anyone recall seeing that?...

Never mind. Scrolled down to the change log and saw where it was fixed...
