I love promoting my level 20 MP characters. With the Multiplayer challenge, it gives me more reason to promote them and go back to level 1 and promote more MP members to become single player asset. My goal is have enough MP level 20 characters promoted to create a very high ratio of readiness that they can technically "jump" to almost the end of the story because they already have enough firepower to fight. (Maybe Bioware can consider releasing a patch that allows the entire fleet to jump to almost the end of the game to start the final battle if the player has certain level of promoted MP characters.)

The video above is quite funny but in one of my playthroughs, almost all the crewmates are dead with exception of a few that cannot die which means the "alternate" video cannot happen or extremely short, and probably few will try to remember Shepard in the end because it was stupid luck that saved the people.

For example, one of the more entertaining path is have just about every crew mate killed with Shepard making tons of stupid decisions in ME2. Import it to ME3 and Shepard doesn't have many crewmates to begin with. Since Shepard didn't try to keep all the former crewmates alive and Shepard didn't have many friends left in ME3. And then kill of as many crewmates as possible in ME3. And when Shepard died at the end of ME3 with extended ending DLC, more than half the crew are also missing when they gathered to say good bye to Shepard. It's almost like playing a different game.

I played ME1 6 times, and ME2 7 times. I had Jean-Luc Shepard (seriously, he looks like Patrick Stewart) as my paragon hero, and I had Megab*tch Shepard as my renegade villain. It was so satisfying saving lives first, and then going through and killing them instead. I also made a Middle Shepard, who took every opportunity not to make a decision by going middle. I had lots of different classes and such.

Jean-Luc got me through ME3, and then I was going to do Megab*tch, but there really didn't seem like a reason to. I also anticipated two more runs - one as Hope Shepard, doing everything right, and another as Fail Shepard, making every possible wrong decision.

But after ME3's original (and maybe even extended) endings, I just couldn't muster the will to do it. I think I may go back and do an insanity run (only achievement I'm missing in 1 and 2), as Fail Shep, but... dunno.

Got my code today finally. This is different than I was expecting. Guess I knew it was all horde but not what I thought it would be.
? how so?

Just used to other games that are harder to level on and don't really have objectives and the whole buying kit parts. I'm around level 15 after only a few hours. Plus I'd like to buy a new assault gun but evidently have to get it out of a random box rather than a store. It's different than other multi.
yup! But there's something about it that keeps bringing me back.

I don't mind the fast leveling - in fact, you'll find that it takes forever to get to 19 and 20. What is nice about it, though, is that you are able to experiment with different powers and combos.

The weapon drops in random packs is annoying, but I used to play Magic the Gathering, so I'm used to the whole booster pack idea.

I like that it's different don't get me wrong. Just a weird change on multi I wasn't expecting.

After played ME3 MP on X360 for 5 months a lot (every weekend challenge), I started playing MP on PS3 version last week. Today, I ran into the "best" bug on PS3 for the 1st time. After two waves, all the enemies became "invisible". Everything is there except the "enemies". My op-op crewmates can see the enemies because they are running and shooting the enemies. For the remainer waves, I try to do my part by following my crewmates around and shoot in the general direction (brings a new meaning here) and try to not to get shot. By wave 11, I can't see the shuttle arriving even I can hear it landing. After completed the waves, I got stuck at waiting for several minutes and never saw the screen showing the points I got.

Brings a new meaning of "enemy blind". Anyone seen this bug often?

Other smaller bugs I saw on PS3 version are the timer keeps ticking without anything left to deactivate. I saw my crewmates walking in the air quite often. I think have seen the smaller bugs on X360 for not as often as PS3.

Bioware should consider adding a new type of 100% "invisible" enemy to the MP. That would be the ultimate enemy because all you can do is watch for the environment disturbance like smoke or someone near you got attacked.

Only one game (so far) on the 360 where no enemies were visible to me. Grenades went in the general direction of the other player's shots. Didn't finish last.

Even the SP game has a similar issue. A Harvester was only visible because of a red targeting box. At least that one was standing still...

I'm curious about your SP when you saw this "invisible enemy" bug. Did you try to reload from the saved game closest to where you encounter "invisible enemies" and did the enemies stay invisible? I have played single player since the game came out on X360 and never once encountered invisible enemies. I'll see if I encounter more "invisible enemies" in SP or MP. I think it's amusing.

Anyone who already got Leviathan DLC, please let us know at what point in the timeline will this DLC occur or able to play it.

If you already completed the DLC, is it worth $10. How much of gameplay time does the DLC provide?
I've played hundreds of hours in MP and never experienced invisible enemies beyond invisible banshees once in a while. You must have a magic PS3, or perhaps I do.

There's a DLC out now? Paid? Didn't realize it!

I read over at Bioware that gamers are downloading it. It's the 2nd single player story DLC. Supposed to also change the ending. Not free because it's $10.

I just plowed through the problem, aiming the Scorpion at the area inside the red box, and the shots stuck to the invisible Harvester and exploded. No big deal to me since I'd seen the issue in MP.

If it was a Brute, and I was killed screwing around trying to find it to kill it, THEN there might have been a reload or two...

The Operation Alloy rewards are live now.

I thought we get +1 extra MediGel to carry during mission. But all I see is +5 Med-Gel and others such as +5 Thermal Clip, +5 Cobra Missile Launchers, and several other single mission enhancers. I tried on several different accounts and they all get the same rewards.
You receive the ability to obtain 6 medigel; you have to receive the extra medigel in a pack.

According to someone at Bioware forum, Leviathan DLC is divided into 3 parts that can be played after Mars and before Cronos Station which is played almost at any point in the game.

It took the player 2-3 hours to complete and he highly recommend the DLC.

All 4 Leviathan achievements seem to be unlockable at any difficulty.

Update:
Now there are several review articles on Leviathan DLC, it appears you play the DLC before the final mission to attack Cerberus base.

Saw another bug on PS3 MP today. When we got to the last enemy, it walked into under the platform but still moving around but we couldn't get to. After we kept trying shooting it at the walls, floor or any gap between the walls for 10 minutes, we killed the final enemy. Again for me playing on X360 for 5 months, I never seen this one. I have seen other forms of enemy stuck immediately and frozen up in the air on X360.

Update:
Encountered another bug. On Wave 11 extraction, there was no timer on the screen to know when the shuttle will arrive.

Or for deactivating device wave, sometimes the 4 devices to deactivate on the corner of the screen stopped responding but all the 4 devices can still be deactivated.

It's weird for me to see so many bugs so frequently when playing on PS3.

Another Crusader upgrade. Still not gonna carry it. Once Darksiders 2 is done maybe I'll want to play enough to get that gel card. Otherwise it's just Operations...

Can someone explain a couple things in multi player for me?

1. What bonuses does getting a weapon from Level 1 ro Level 2 actually give you? Is there a progressive of damage increase or something for each level?
2. What damage bonus does say Cryo rounds 1 do compared to Cryo rounds 2 and other ammo types.

According to this review, Leviathan story took place right before the final Cerberus mission in the game.

If you are still waiting to play ME3, Gamestop has it during Labor sale for $20. Not sure if they will drop the preowned to less than $20 but you also don't get access to multiplayer.

Best Buy supposed to have it for $20 if you have the coupons from the magazine.

Update: Amazon has it for $20.

Normally, I'd be all over an offering like Leviathan, but the "closed ending" of Mass Effect 3 and the inability to continue exploring after the game's final mission (a real boner of a creative decision in my opinion) has really dulled any interest I have in purchasing additional ME3 single player DLC. Its hard to get excited for these "new chapters" when you already know how the adventure will end and the content doesn't really allow you to change that ending in any meaningful way. The fact that all this backstory filler is being introduced after the fact just feels like an cynical cash grab (if it was so important to the Mass Effect lore, then why hold it back) and I really resent having to go thru the attack on Cerberus and final defense of Earth all over again after finishing each DLC just to get 20 extra seconds of exposition.
