Falcon used to be considered hilariously evil. Throw on cryo rounds and each shell freezes enemies in its explosion.

As for the special banner rewarded for some of the challenges over the last 2 weeks, there are two that have banner awards, Halloween and N7 Day Challenges. As of last night, N7 Day banner has disappeared but Halloween banner is still there.

When I checked on Bioware website, N7 Day banner is still in my account. Also last night, on PS3, the only banner available to choose was Halloween challenge. I saw most of online players no longer have any banner because there was a lot of players with N7 Day banner before last night.

Reason I ask this is the challenge reward banner for you to keep forever or they disappear when Bioware decides to remove the old challanges from their database?

When I checked the banner through Bioware site, the N7 Day banner is back. Maybe last night as something to do with Bioware temporary lost the N7 day banner option.

Operation: GEARHEAD (Nov. 16th – 18th)

Event Description: Intel reveals that hostile forces are targeting our technical experts to damage our strategic capabilities. They must fail at this! Keep our people alive and inflict disproportionate losses wherever the enemy attempts this tactic.

Individual Goal: Earn 75,000 points as any engineer class and extract 3 times as any engineer class on any map at any difficulty. Points are cumulative across matches.

Reward: Commendation Pack

I guess I shouldn't feel so bad, looking at how many hours and games you've played, I'm still way down on the list. It's odd because up until maybe a week ago, I rarely saw high level players (everyone was super low, even some first time players, the highest I'd seen was around 500), but now all of the games I join every player (with the exception of me) is in the thousands.

No idea yet honestly. So far doesn't seem to.

Good deal. I'm seeing reports it's fairly short for the cost (around 2.5 hours). How much time have you invested in it so far?

I had fun took me around 3 hours to finish. It's worth it if you like mass effect.

On a side note, new operation coming up this weekend sounds interesting. Although I often seen biotic detonations - what causes them?



Operation DETONATOR (Nov 30th – Dec 2nd)

Event Description: Recent setbacks have prompted changes in unit composition. Turian cabal theory is now dominant training paradigm. N7 units will now be deployed with pairs or higher percentages of biotics wherever available to maximize effectiveness.

Individual Goal: Earn 20,000 Biotic Explosion points on any map at any difficulty. You will need to kill the enemy with the explosion for the points to count. Points are cumulative across matches. Extraction not required.

Reward: Commendation Pack

Real easy. Just google search how to do biotic detonations, as there are many combos.

Main one: Warp -> Throw.

Just play a solo game on bronze.

Playing along multiplayer is tough to do combo because someone probably already hit the enemy before you completed your combo. I know workaround is playing solo but what's the fun in it if "multiplayer" is broken.

Thanks, I wound up doing this. Only took a couple of rounds to finish - used pull followed by reave.

Yeah, it is a bummer. I tried it on MP first, but after 3 games had only scored around 1200 points. I then just tried solo and it only took me a few rounds to complete the challenge.

I'm still getting lame Spectre packs, I haven't unlocked a character in a while. For fun I'm going to start noting what I get for each pack and see just how awful it is.

The problem is the weekend challenges are individual based challenges. You just can't depend on three randoms to sit and let you set up and detonate explosions.

If anyone's on this afternoon and looking for squadmates, I'm Autowobble, jumping into MP for the first time. So, don't expect much just yet!

I'm usually on 10:30pm-midnight, if you're ever up that late look for me.

Here are a couple of my latest. Usually it's cryo ammo IV and power booster IV. I just want higher level ultra rares.

Did you seriously get Stronghold Package IV and V in the same pack? Now that's just silly.

I'll keep tabs on the next few and post them here as well. I wonder if we'll see any sort of trending.

Operation: ALAMO (Dec 14th-16th)

Event Description: The Reapers are taking advantage of our forces being spread thin and are making a push for Menae. Alliance Intelligence predicts that the Reapers are luring us into committing large-scale defenses to the moon that they will wipe out. Our counter-strategy is to insert small, stealthy units to conduct disruptive offensives and hold the firebase during their hopefully weakened attacks.

Team Goal: Earn the “Survived 5 Waves” medal on the Firebase Condor map at any difficulty. Extraction not required.

Reward: Commendation Pack

I assume I can start from Wave 1 -5 like that? First two waves are easily and then three more waves without even completely the rest until wave 11?

You could probably just do this on Bronze solo. Otherwise, jump on a server and have everyone run as Volus with the shield charge.

Why is Volus? I can never once get Volus to choice.

The Volus classes have a shield boost power that recharges both the characters shields and those around them. You can stagger these fairly well, keeping your teams shields constantly on the mend. Although the Volus itself is weak, that power is pretty fantastic when used correctly.

Not sure what you mean by "choice"?
