The entire operation was a scam, right down to the guerrilla forum marketing strategy and the "free gear for helping push the product" business model. Really, nothing good ever came out of that company, and they tainted everyone who helped and/or supported them.
There is one significant
exception to your advice....
Mark Seaton designed the MFW-15 for AV911. In it's initial iteration, it was an awesome subwoofer and highly regarded in it's price class. However, Mark Seaton was not at all responsible for the ensuing amp problems, or any of the other suspect shenanigans that went on over there at AV911.
For any others viewing this thread, please don't put Mark Seaton, or Seaton Sound in the same class of ID companies as AV911. Seaton Sound is a very highly regarded company with excellent leadership from its' founder. More importantly, Seaton Sound embodies all of the attributes we should be looking for in an ID company. Personally, I can't think of another company I would rather buy from than Seaton Sound.
I just wanted to clarify that, as FPB's rant seemed to lump all prior AV911's vendors as the same.
