I had occasion to attend the premier party for season 4 on Saturday, where they screened the first episode of the new season. It's really terrific--Raylan is back and in fine form. You're all in for a treat, be sure to tune in.

Can't wait - have my DirecTV set up to record the entire season - I noticed Walter Goggins had a small, but significant role in "Lincoln"

You're a lucky guy to have your interests coincide with having a talented insider on a favored show. I know that I'd be a proud groopie if I had the chance. Unfortunately, my sons can't write (though both are fertile...STOP WITH THE GRANDKIDS) rolleyes.gif

My neighbor always has the full season on DVDs before they are aired. He is in the "entertainment business" and it is one of his perks. Right now he has the first four episodes for season four on one disc. He offered it to me. If it were on BD I'd grab it. tongue.gif But I'll wait it out and enjoy it week to week like the rest of us.

I wish I had that kind of patience. Not an offer I could turn down.

That's remarkable. My son only has the first two, and I only saw the first. Your friend must have some major juice to have those; I bet that Graham Yost doesn't have the first four!

Now you're making me want to "call him" on it. wink.gif I've seen his DVD's in previous seasons to know he was for real but just took his word this time around-- since I wasn't interested. I'll let you know-- if I get a moment -- But part of the reason I turned him down is because of my current busy schedule.

Not even a gun-thug or a glass of "apple pie" could keep me away.

If you don't watch Sons of Anarchy, Walton Goggins made a very interesting cameo you may want to check out...

Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones..all great shows I can't wait to see more of. But if I could only watch one...

It would be Justified.

It certainly was, he absolutely stole that episode of Sons and I think he was only on camera for less than 10 mins in total! Goggins is an amazing talent.

A remarkable achievement...

Justified season 4 has a current Metacritic score of 91, which puts it up there with the best reviewed shows of the season. It's alway been a critical darling, but I'm glad to see the critics like what they've seen of the new season so far.

Funny, we've had some conversations with Dave along the lines of, "why don't we have any grandkids"? And his reply is, "Well, you got a TV show instead." I don't really see that as an either/or, but whatever. Of course, he does need to be married first--we have high hopes for his current GF, but you never know!

I should do a write-up about it. Loved it all around. Awesome season opener.
Can't wait to read all the replies tomorrow.

Some parts of the episode I loved - the bag in the wall & everything about it, basically.
But some of it was too clever, too "we're back don't you love us." For instance, I thought last season's opener with Ice Pick was far, far superior to this whole thing with the airbag and the bounty. And a preacher? Didn't Boyd do that 2 seasons ago?

Nonetheless - I still enjoy the show and am looking forward to seeing where it goes this season.

This is true. He's been "faithful" since as well. Guess they're just carrying over the religious aspect of Boyd and the preacher.
