I upgraded from the KDL-46HX800 to the XBR-46HX909 Sony and haven't had to reset "v-off" since then. Playing the Panasonic demo disc there seems to be a LOT of conversation going on in HDMI-land when each demo portion is individually started and stopped, but it all works.
Still, the "split HDMI" setup with my Yamaha 1800 doesn't work with macros I try to set up on a Philips universal remote, but I set up some manual video source select buttons on the main screen that seem to fix that. Audio seems to work out fine, dunno why, but the v.off setting is sticking now no matter what I do
. My power on macro turns on the cable box (SA 8300 HD) first, Yamaha second, Sony third, and I still power on the DVD as an individual operation as I don't have the whole "activity" type setup, so it gets switched on last most likely as I go insert a BD/DVD. I really like the Panasonic 350 with it's dual-HDMI output and fast startup, and very quick response to IR commands. It's a great DVD player first and does great BD and 3-D BD as well. It was really nice to be able to keep the Yamaha AVR with this dual-output BD player. Good stuff here!
