still living w my buzzing C7000. Some days are better than others, but mostly it's still noticeably 98% of the time.
Well Well Well....
I'm back to upgrade
my review of the Belkin PureAV (PF30). After getting everything plugged in and situated back in place and living with it for 3-4 days... This Belkin conditioner IS HELPING with the buzz
quite a bit. Believe it or not!!! Maybe I'm just delirious from so much testing and comparing and researching. Or the constant buzz has driven me crazy. But here's what I can say:
- the buzz isn't totally gone -- that would be a miracle.
- but the buzz is much more subtle now. maybe closer to the normal plasma buzz. More like a low hum that is harder to notice.
- The directional laser beam (higher pitch buzz) that used to come out from the middle/center of the screen is just about gone. Again, mostly the low hum that is still there. But harder to detect unless you turn your ear toward the screen.
Bottom line, this Belkin unit has helped quite a bit it turns out -- but still dead center on the couch at 11-12 feet away, there is still a low hum buzz and I'd prefer to have none at all
The Belkin goes on sale at Buy.com for $59 every now and then it seems.
So am I ready to live with this TV??? (I've had the bezel plastic on for 4-6 wks since I got it). I'm thinking that I can be fairly happy with this level of buzz. I did submit Return request thru Amazon few weeks ago. They were happy to send another, but said the C7000 was on backorder for ~4weeks (of course with the 2011's coming out) ... I was thinking (optimistically) maybe they'd have to replace my C7000 with a D7000, but that is unlikely. Got an email this week that said they've cancelled the C7000 order because it isn't available any longer.
So I'll still visit the forums and see how the buzz goes for others. Anxious to see how the 2011 buzz thread goes...will be a little mad if it turns out they've totally fixed the buzz this year and I chose to stick it out with my C7000. Oh well...I did get this for about 1/2 the MSRP so can't complain too much.
