Questions about my current Blu-Ray player?

I have a Panasonic BDP55, is it going to be able to properly play 3D?
I know it is just HDMI 1.3 can they update it to 1.4 via firmware/ software update over the internet, or is this a hardware problem?
I already have the new Samsung 55C7000 3D TV, and I use an older Pioneer Elite receiver to handle the 7.1 audio via the analog inputs of my respected devices. Because of my current setup I would require a Blu-Ray player with analog audio out, does any one know of one that will be for sale in the US that meets my requirements and is 3D capable in case I need to replace my old one?
I searched for this but did not find the answer, maybe I did not enter the right search criteria, so please accept my apologies if this has been asked before.

Your Panasonic BD player cannot be upgraded to play 3D BD's.

Samsung's BD-C6900 3D Blu-ray player reportedly has 7.1 analog output

Thank you sir, I was afraid of that, looks like glasses and new player are next on my list.
