Skype - Why is only Panasonic offering it?

I see that although both Panasonic and Samsung are offering internet connectivity for their new 3D TVs, only Panasonic states theirs will allow Skype transmissions (the "grandparents" feature.) Is this merely an omission in promotion by Samsung or is there some reason that one can only use Skype on the Panasonic?

I assume you are suggesting it will work on the new Samsungs? I have checked the demo model and reviewed the instruction manual that has been linked here on the forum and do not see any specific reference to Skype.
