The Last Word (2008) Wynona Foxy Ryder

I just watched The Last Word with a 37 to 38 year old Winona Ryder, and wow, she looked like 25 and really great. I have never seen her look so good, and with no obvious mountain of makeup.

The movie itself is very entertaining in the same kind of strange way that Up in the Air is entertaining. I checked, and they had different directors. I enjoyed every minute of this film, and Ryder is so gorgeous and foxy. Even Ray Romano, who I usually dislike and avoid like snakes, was well cast and good in this movie. It is sort of a comedy and sort of a drama, like Up in the Air, but I liked it even more. I gave it 5 Netflix stars.

Well, Winona Ryder lives with her parents in a home that she owns in LA. She is almost 40, looks 25, and has the voice of a 20 year old (to be fair, not 15). To me that is a desirable package. Look at Mila Kunis. She is 27 and sounds like a 40 year old chain smoker. I would rather date Winona. Of course I would hide my wallet in my sock.

I have not seen that one. I thought it was all cartoonized?

They made her look older for Dr. Spock's mom, and her part lasted about 30 seconds.

Well, I just watched The Private Lives of Pippa Lee and it is a pretty good movie,...definately a chick flick, but enjoyable for men as well. Winona Ryder looks 10 years older in Pippa than in The Last Word, I don't know why as they were filmed only a year apart. I don't think Winona looked sexy in Pippa, but she did very well as comic relief in an otherwise fairly serious movie. The hospital scene with here curling up in a ball was very funny.

That one still is not representative of the way she looked during most of the film.

It is old when considering the attractiveness of women. Womens' hormones drop like a rock at age 35, and womens' looks go down hill fast after that. Exceptional examples of women being attractive even in their forties are rare, but possible. Jacqueline Bisset was hot in her forties as is Marisa Tomei. Marisa Tomei is like superwoman. With her clothes on she looks like an innocent girl next door. When she takes her clothes off, she is a spectacular sexy bade. See The Wrestler, a very good movie, and Before The Devil Knows You're Dead, a terrible movie except for her one spectacular nude scene. Most women in their forties do not look half as good.

I have yet to see Winona Ryder in a real nude scene. She still looks good in her late 30s, but I think they intentionally skanked her up for some of the scenes in Pippa Lee. That was the part she was playing, a middle aged woman with deep emotional problems. I think she looks much better with long hair and without the loose screws created by the script.
