Hi guys, i'm new to the forums, as you can see. I'm glad to be a part of this community.
I'm sorry if i'm gonna post in the wrong section, but I ask for your help in a urgent matter.
I'm about to buy an LCDTV and I have some questions. Basically, I was looking for the best 55"-60" LCD that you can buy, no more than 2000$. So, at this price range, no 3D, and no LED. I live in Romania, prices are higher in here, so, the best I could come up with is the LE55C650 model. (E comes from Europe, so I understand). After surfing the web for hours and hours, I decided this is the best option. I understand it's even better than some LED models. I found it at a local store, for 1830$. I will use it to play 1080p mkv files through a DVI-HDMI connection from my PC, and also games.
My questions are:
1. How do I know what model of panel does it have, and which would be the best one?
2. How should I test it before buying? Maybe some quick tests that you guys do, a short video to find out panel errors, dead pixels, or other tests etc.
3. What else should I know before buying it (maybe some serious issues you found about this model)
If you could suggest a better 55"-60" alternative, I would be glad to hear it. (no plasmas though, don't wanna have to deal with burn-in).
