I'm looking into getting a new TV within the next month or so and thought I would get some ideas here on AVSForum. LED's seem like the way to go these days so let's start from there. I prefer Samsung and LG brand, and from what I hear, they're by far the best on the market.
Currently I own the LG 42LH40. It's been a good TV for the year that I've had it now since last March. I got it for $999.99 at Best Buy... here is my setup. Setup 1 .... Setup 2
