I mentioned in the "Official 3D Thread" that I don't notice any flickering at all with my DLP and IO glasses. I also mentioned that I'd read that a low battery in shutter glasses can cause this.
I've had my glasses with the original battery for nearly two months now, and low and behold, I noticed flickering today. It's an odd flicker, even looking at a static image, it seems to flicker about once a second. I even made sure it wasn't the source, so I watch a few samples that I know I've never seen flickering on.
So as of right now, until I replace the batteries tomorrow, it seems extremely plausible that this is the reason some, if not all see flickering.
I'll post again in this thread tomorrow evening after I replace the batteries to see if the flickering went away. Hopefully Radioshack or Batteries Plus carries them.
btw, to those that talked about the flickering being a distraction, I totally agree. I couldn't fathom watching a 22 minute sitcom with this.
