Well, I got the TC-P65S2 unpacked yesterday and mounted on the Raleigh TV Stand purchased at Costco. The set does sit rather high (measures 74" from the floor to the top) but it looks awesome on the stand. When we sit on the couch approximately 10.5' from the set, we sit in a rather reclined position, so I don't think that the height is an issue and have decided to keep the Costco stand and not accept delivery of the Bell'o stand.
The build date on my set is December 2010, and I don't hear any noise at all. In addition, I do not have any bad pixels.
I have the break-in slides going as we speak. Can I keep these going 24/7 up the the recommended 100 hours or should I give the set an occasional break in the action? I am still undecided relative to whether or not I will make the D-Nice Service Menu adjustments. I wish that I could look into a crystal ball and see how much difference, if any, it would make. I'm not overly intimidated by the process. Please persuade or dissuade me...
So, so far so good. I am most excited about watching my first Bluray on this baby. It really is a beautiful set!
