I tried these and had no luck. So, I gave-up and bought another player (after I had the people at BB play the BR disc to be sure it worked.) I will keep the BD-C5500 (as it make a nice upscaler for regular DVD's and can use it in another room) and periodically check for firmware updates to see if they send out one that helps this issue.
