No. On plasma, that 600 Hz is related to the subfields (of any plasma - LCD have not subfields system). On the LCD they, instead, are using that "120, 240, and so on Hz) to compensate the low speed of the LCDs panels, which is about 4-5 ms on the best panels, while on plasmas it is usually 0.001 ms
The refresh rate, instead, on these plasma, is always 100 Hz (in the E.U.), and it is enough to don't see that tipical flickering of 50 Hz we have in the E.U. with PAL sources.
