Cable Box needed?

Newbie question here. I just bought an Insginia NS-LDVD19Q-10A for my kitchen. Ran coax into the kitchen, an eletrical outlet and mounted it....Looks great but only picks up 7 channels without a cable box. Do I actually need a cable box or does it have a "cableCARD"? I have comcast and they are telling me I definitely need a box. But putting a box in my kitchen would be unsightly. Thanks

The TV would need a cableCARD slot to use a card that Comcast would rent to you. I didn't see any slot mentioned when I looked up your TV, so to get more than 7 you're going to have to live with a box of some sort.

I don't think this tv has a QAM decoder built into it. It only has a 8 VSB decoder for decoding over the air digital signals. So you will definately have to get a HD cable box from comcast and hook it up using a HDMI cable.
