No, it's not the latest patch released yesterday. I did experience the issue with PowerDVD 10 and now still with the Mark II update from a little while back. I will have to look into the latest patch.

I don't think the latest patch will fix it. Something else is going on there as I don't have that problem and never have.

Are you using the latest NVIDIA driver? For the Mitsubishi DLP TVs, you need to choose "3D Ready TV" for your 3D output settings. This puts out a checkerboard signal. You don't want to output HDMI 1.4.

I have the latest NVIDIA 260.63. I tried every output option, non will turn on the emitter except for "CRT Display". Then the glasses work but it's shutter is all messed up on the right side. When I put to the setting you say, which is where I had it when it worked on the old build. It looks like it's right on the screen, but the emitter will not turn on, and neither will the glasses. All worked before.

3D does work with NVIDIA's 3D Test and Games, not thru PDVD.. Pretty sure its just something with PDVD talking to the NVIDIA 3D Driver, the image PDVD is outputting is the same and when it worked. Definitely Checkerboard

I also retried with the older 258.96 NVIDIA drivers, same thing no 3D..

Side note. I got bitstreaming to work after closing AnyDvd HD

So, in device manager I found that the Nvidia Stereo driver somehow got uninstalled with their latest drivers, kinda weird. So, I installed the driver.

Now I was able to get 3D output only by selecting the HDMI 1.4 or Nvidia 3D display options in PDVD, when I select the option for checkerboard, the emiiter turns off and no more 3D, but then the High-Definition option for Bit-Streaming worked. CRAZY!

In the other modes, PCM Decoded by PDVD or High- Definition Pass through, leave me with no sound. This is all very interesting and I spent over 5 hours, trying everything.

So, either 3D with just normal Dolby Digital/DTS pass-through, using the 1.4 HDMI or Nvidia display option

or

High Definition audio pass-through and no 3D, and using the "Checkerboard option"

So far everything is working correctly with my GT 220 I'm able to watch blu ray 3d and regular 2d to 3d SD DVD. With the latest beta drivers and the latest Cyberlink build it's the first time I was able to get everything working for 3D. My receiver is in the shop so my PC and everything is going to the Panasonic 3D TV.

Another plus about the beta drivers is now I can leave my PC in Cinema mode and run the 96Hz option without flicker so everything for me on my end has been a plus. Again 3d is working with my GT 220 and the latest sw/drivers.
Watching Jurassic Park right now it looks pretty good but faces get deformed a bit looks pretty funny.

Your reading it right no doubt about that, I'm glad I didn't have to break another "C" note for another freakin card. I'm watching Das Boot full DVD version and I must say 3D really looks good on this movie. Definitely had to tone down the depth for 2D/3D content, people were looking way funky.

Oh jeez forgot to image the drive gotta keep this config for sure, who knows what will happen when the final drivers come out.

Oh I forgot to mention this on Win7 x64 i5, GT220 and using my Panasonic shutter glasses.

I just tried it out with a 210 and it does work, but only in the loosest definition. The BD plays and renders in 3D, but it's obvious that the card is really struggling.

I think the workaround is to launch your movies with 3D off then hit the switch to enable it. Then the player acts normal, mouse cursor and navigation bars drop out.

Right. The 5000 series came with a new setting in the Video tab of CCC that let you choose levels. It helped a lot, but it didn't make things perfect for everyone still. I don't know why they didn't add that to the previous series of cards.

Well, my issue with VC-1 & PowerDVD 7.3 Ultra being broken:

Full reinstall of Windows 7 failed. Fresh system, latest updates & drivers. PowerDVD 7.3 will play anything as long as it isn't VC-1 encoded.

So, did a new install of W7, with just the new Nvidia 260 Drivers (Including the USB Emitter Driver which is separate BTW) and the new PDVD 10 MK Build. Issue persisted, no 3D using even just the NVIDIA 3D Test. I found alot out though.

I could get 3D working if I bypassed my Onkyo 805 and used the DVI-HDMI cable from the GTX460 to my Mitsu 73738. Then 3D will work, but even still PDVD won't turn on the emitter unless I select the "Hdmi 1.4 Enabled TV" or the Nvidia 3D Vision Monitor" options. Then everything is fine.

Looks like both NVIDIA and PDVD have separate issues. Until this is worked out, I am going back to the NVIDIA 1.33 Beta 3D Vision drivers with the Previous PDVD 10 MK2 Build, because that was working correctly.... Just no Bit-Streaming of HD-Audio.



I wonder if this all has to do with HDMI 1.4 and the Onkyo only being 1.3... Tempts me to get a New 3D ready HDMI 1.4 Receiver to try out.

Switched back and everything works, just no Bit-Streaming, just as before. I even attempted to trick it with the New NVIDA HD Audio Driver for the HDMI... The High-Definition Audio option shows in PDVD, just has no sound when selected, both the other options produce sound.


Reminds me of the days when ATI first started bitstreaming

With the new NVIDIA 260.63 Beta driver we know bit-streaming is now possible with at least the GTX 460 card (& maybe other 4xx cards) but what about this:

I'm sorry, but Blu-ray audio bitstreaming is not supported on the GT2xx boards. This is a misprint. I'll make sure that the release notes are corrected.

Bitstreaming is only supported on NVIDIA's GTX460 and GTS450 today (as well as all AMD Radeon 5xxx cards, and systems with Intel HD graphics).

Tom, Thanks for replying... I'm not looking to bitstream with the GT 240, I'm looking to get the 'non-downsampled' rate for BD movies via PDVD10 decoded LPCM. So if a movie has a 24-bit sampling rate, I'm looking for PDVD to say 24-bit and not 16-bit. Sounds like NVIDIA is supporting it so how about PDVD10 under Win7?

so finally it is possible to enjoy real 3d blu-rays with PC! now I have to switch from ATI to NVidia, can someone please tell me where I find a list of cards that have HDMI 1.4 and can output 3d in 1080p?
also I don't understand the audio issue...is it possible now to output audio via the graphic card? I don't need the auzentech $200 card I had in mind?
