I am in the process of collecting gear to replace my college system until I can afford a house with a nice dedicated basement for a theater. There seems to be so many options out there, my short list consists of the following

Emotiva - seems very popular here on the forum
Bryston - no comment necessary
QSC or crest type pro amps - I keep seeing pro amps being used in serious theaters instead of audiophile brand amps.

Appreciate the kind words on the theatre...as far as the amplifiers are concerned, please PM your cell number and I will give you a call...

+1 for the QSC DCA Series Amps, awesome if you have a dedicated space away from the listening area - the fans are reasonably noisy (well in fact they're quiet for what they are but still that irritating fan noise)

Yes, lots of clean and powerful sound coming those amps...the only thing missing is more time to enjoy them...

I had hoped / planned to log at least 10 to 15 hours a week but with work being what it is I am lucky to log 1 to 3 hours / week...that said, I plan on catching up over the December / January holiday season and hope, with a "calming of work", to realize my 10 to 15 hours / week from January onward...nothing relaxes me like a few hours in my theatre...
