If any of you are on the fence, try this. Move a button from the last page of a device to the first page in both desktop and myharmony and decide which method you like best.
I agree 100% percent about the re-ordering of custom buttons in the 7.7 software being a HUGE PITA (my biggest pet peeve with the software, actually), but I still don't feel comfortable with the myharmony website, either. The drag and drop button setup SHOULD be easier, and IS easier for massive rearrangements, but for initial setup the pulldown boxes in the software are much faster for me. I've been "playing" with alternate myharmony setups for a few of my remotes... the website actually allowed me to register one of my Ones (not a One+) and I also have alternate accounts setup for a 650 and a 700. I don't remember off the top of my head all that I could not find/do in myharmony, but I know that one of the issues with the One was that it would not generate icons for A/B/C and Red/Green/Blue/Yellow buttons like the 7.7 software does. Maybe I'm just not motivated enough to "like" myharmony because they are already completely setup in the old software.
The one thing that neither the software nor myharmony do that I really wish they would is allow copying of complete button pages between activities. I have pages of AVR and Lighting controls that are identical in as may as 12 activities on a single remote and I've had to set them up separately for each and every activity.
As far as sequences go, I have created and use sequences with my 650s and also my 700 in the 7.7 software (albeit with the familiar 5-step limit). Just last night I set up a new 700 on 7.7 and the sequences set up and worked just as they always have:
