title kind of says it all. I got the tv since my last tv just died. figured why not, only 2400 on amazon.

anyways, the picture to me looks great when watching tv and playing video games. Blurays to me, look, well, fake. The picture just doenst look that good to me. Curious what you guys have as your settings for the picture. Maybe its something I need to change? any help would be great before I return the tv. To me, the bluray looks almost too crisp, does that make sense? it looks like a student film rather than film.

Thanks!

That is a feature. Why in the world would anyone want to turn that off? I think it makes you feel like you're looking out of a window instead of watching tv. But anyway, if you'd like to turn it off or down, go into the picture settings and turn off "Motion Flow".

Sorry --- haven't seen it. Here is a link to a thread with calibration suggestions for your set: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showp...84&postcount=7

Sorry to revive this old thread. I have searched high and low and have found no answer to my question. I see Chad B's calibration PDF's, but how do you use them? I mean, it doesn't say specifically, make contrast x or backlight x. Or does it? I'm new to this, so any help would be appreciated.

Those are reviews of the sets from Chad B, not instructions on how to calibrate them. He does calibrate, but that's his business, and he charges individuals for calibrating their sets. But you should be able to find suggested settings from other people.
