Just Cause 2 - Page 2

What's the Steam console command to unlock the framerate?

This game's storyline has one of the most ineffective endings in recent times.

On the plus side, it is now time to kick arse in "Mercenary Mode" and to do some more searching on LOST island.

Still can't get Steam to download the demo...

My Stats

You guys know you can link your Steam account to the Just Cause website to list/compare your stats with others? (as you can tell I haven't played much yet).

Just curious on how it went. I suspect you're still writing it up but any tidbits you can offer in the meantime?

A free download for a black market ice cream truck is now available.

I love it; the look, handling and music make it worthwhile.

Unfortunately Avalanche Studios is located in the UK and, since it's just me and my hobby, that makes it tough to call because of long distance costs. I asked if they would do Skype and I was shot down.

I submitted roughly 30 questions to them and expect to have them by Monday. My questions range from tech, design, DLC, the studio and future plans. If they answer them all it's going to be a very interesting interview.

I was really impressed with this demo (after I finally got it to download). I hope to be buying it down the road, but I got other games in my "queue" first. The "go anywhere, do anything" map/layout is really appreciated. I didn't hit any invisible walls. Camera/control felt a bit sloppy, but may just me not used to it yet. Overall, very cool. I didn't think Just Cause sold enough to justify a sequel, but I'm glad they did.

Yeah, it's a fun game. I'll be playing it for a long time.

This game rocks. I have found that I can't use the multi lasso though. I have my keys setup slightly differently than stock. My "E" key is Lasso not Use. I have to set it that way in this type of game or I am constantly bailing out of cars and airplanes. To make a long story short, I can't pickup any weapons with the Multi lasso patch. As it is now, I have to dual hook then pick up the weapon.

My interview with Lead Programmer Fredrik Larsson and Game Designer Peter Johansson has gone live! A few examples of some questions I asked: What other Easter-eggs exist beyond the Lost island reference? Were fully destructible structures ever considered? Will Just Cause 2 ever end up on the Wii? How does the Heat system really work? Why on earth can't we purchase multiple items from the Black Market?

It's a good read.

Just Cause 2 Multi-Player2 mod

Resurrecting this old thread because this just came out today. It's pretty impressive. About 600 people playing on the map on one server. It's very beta right now but it's fun to fool around with.

The multiplayer mod is live for a test weekend right now. I hopped in for a minute and it looks super-rad. Tons of fun. I've got a Wii U to go install in my livingroom though, so... bad timing for me I guess.

Also, Just Cause 2 is $4 at Amazon right now for a Steam code. Totally worth your dollars if you are some sort of sucker that hasn't played JC2 yet. wink.gif
