Outdoor Cam ?

Hi, I'm an outdoors type of person and these are pretty much the exact conditions and types of video I'm going to be shooting.

I'd like to be able to zoom into those fish in high quality in as many lighting conditions available. Look at the insect shots too. I'm expecting to get a helluva lot better quality in what I purchase. Slowmo is a plus but not mandatory.

A few more questions i have... My present camcorder is a Sony DCR-PC110. Top of the line by todays standards! One of the things I really disliked about this camcorder was that if you left it alone to do things like video tape yourself, it would shutdown and I couldn't find a menu item to keep it running. Do the newer cams do this too?

Anyhow, my main concern is what you see in that video keeping in mind that those lighting conditions will of course change.

Thanks!

Pretty much any cam can shoot in those conditions. Protected from the rain... There's a few water resistent cams, Sanyo WH1 and others. There's underwater enclosures and such of you're paranoid (like me). Do you want HD? 1080p or 720p? How much zoom? It looks like most of that could be done with 10x or less. Some offer 25x, even 30x. Stabilization will be problematic at the higher zoom settings. Do you plan on fishing while recording? Or just recording? Audio? and other concerns...

I'd like all the bells and whistles I can get for around 1200.00 (give/take a few bux). i will be recording fishing/casting, as well as what you see in the youtube video I posted. Audio is not so important because I'll most likely replace it with music. Definetely want HD for the best quality possible. The higher the HD, the better the picture right! 1080p I guess.

Can anyone tell me which of camera will give me the cleanest most crisp picture?

Also, are any of these capable of doing macro?
