I am using 2.31, but the only game I play on PS3 right now is SOCOM, but there's a lot of people over on the Bannco forums playing CoD:MW2, BFBC2, MAG, Resistance, and Killzone 2, as well as other fps. There's a bunch of "expert" firmware that are game specific, but they work on other games too, they are just tuned better for a particular game. I tried the MW2 on SOCOM, but it didn't change much, so went back to 2.31.
As far as it being worth it, well that depends on you, I can tell you I am seriously considering also getting the Scorch 360 for the Xbox. Me and my brother play CoDMW2 all the time but he doesn't have internet in the room with the PS3 so we have to play it on Xbox. To me
it was definitely worth it as I don't have a lot of fun using the controllers, they just feel to slow, not precise, and sluggish for me. If you do get one, check out www.svc.com
, they have the best price I could find outside of buying a used one, and free shipping, as well as great C.S.
I am thinking about checking out these FPS Freeks on the 360 instead of the Scorch, at least to try them out. Heck if they can just improve the feel of the controller 50% they will be worth $10 bucks.
