just scan or 16x9 which was intended for viewing

Some people say to use just scan but just because there is more picture doesnt mean that it was actually intended for you to see. Whenever i play games and switch to just scan it seems like HUD is to far from edge of screen and everything is shrunk too much. What are your thoughts on this to me 16x9 looks better and is what the developers want you to see.

if you're tv has both 1:1 and overscan options, use 1:1 for video games and dvd's and overscan for watching outside sources like cable or satellite...

The "just" scan you're taking about is likely a 1:1 pixel mode, which is no doubt the best way to view. Overscan on video games is completely unnecessary.

Just Scan is the way to go.

Overscan is contraindicated on *any* form of digital content, HD or SD.
It fuzzes up and degrades image quality.
It should only be tolerated for badly transmitted analog content, if at all.

Also native pixel mapping should minimize input lag as it is one less processing duty for the display to handle.
