Lee. I have FIOS and while the PQ exceeds DTV, everything else is lacking. Set top box DVRs with little storage capacity compared to DTV, no ability to output native forcing one to switch the box continually to the native of the channel yada yada. If they wait till december, I will be jumping back to DTV. The antenna is still there. I suspect DTV will have boxes way before December.

DTV launches their (3) 3D channels in June.

I agree that since many TVs today will upscale 720p content to 1080p better then many (if not al)l current generation Motorola STB will upscale 720p to 1080i since the TV has to de-interlace the 1080i/60 content. It would be nice it they they had a pass though mode like most if not all SA/Cisco STBs do.
I do watch a lot of 720P 16:9 aspect ratio programs from ABC, FOX, and ESPN-HD on my Motorla but I have it set to output all 16:9 content to my 1080p TV at 1080i and all 4:3 aspect ratio content at 480i and except for testing I never change a setting.
