Need amp suggestions for Paradigm setup

I'm helping my uncle build a home theatre in his house. The only problem is, I know just about nothing about HT!

After doing an obscene amount of research, I have decided on a projector and speakers. I'm thinking Epson 8500UB for projector. For sound... Paradigm: Studio 20s for fronts, ADP-590s for surrounds, CC-490 for center and a Seismic 110 to complete the 5.1 setup.

Now, I know these things are very subjective, but I just don't want to get an amp that doesn't have enough power, or overspend when I don't need to. So, I'm asking for suggestions on what to power this setup with.

Also, I'm a little bit confused as to exactly what I need. I have the speakers down, so now I need an amp? Or a receiver? Both?

The setup will be used for movies (80%) and video games (20%). It's in a really odd shaped room (see attachment). I also plan on having a PS3, Wii and an HTPC hooked up to this system.

Any guidance you can give me is greatly appreciated!

Here are some pictures of the room to help visualize the space...

What AVR's are available where you are located? A good powerful receiver should do the trick. Also post a budget if you have one.

Everything is coming in from Dubai, so almost everything is available.

I still don't really know how I need to split up my budget.
The budget for the project is $20k. This is for everything, including construction (which shouldn't be too much, considering my location).

The Paradigm setup is, unfortunately, going to cost roughly $6000 to get here. The problem is, I have to buy it in Dubai and ship it here, which is when the tax man bends me over

So far, I'm at $6k in sound, and ~4k for projector. I might be able to knock off $1000 off of the projector, but I won't know for a couple of days.

Let's go ahead and say $1000 US retail for the amp. Is that enough?

Onkyo NR 1007 should do the job.

Wow, that looks like an awesome receiver!

So, if I'm running that sound setup, with the Onkyo, I don't need anything else, right? Sorry, I realize these are stupid questions but I don't want to make any mistakes on this one.

Thanks!

Not a stupid question. That receiver will work just fine all by itself. If you should decide later you want to add an amp its fully capable of letting you do that also. Its THX certified, Audyssey Multi-EQ and has plenty of connections. Check out the dedicated thread for what users are saying about it and see if its the one for you.
