Will Pioneer vsx-1019ah-k work well in 3.1?

Thinking about picking up a Pioneer vsx-1019ah-k receiver to use with Polk Audio tsi400 fronts, cs20 center, and a psw111 sub.

I won't be using the surround, at least for now. Will this setup work well as 3.1 for music / movies?

Any experience with the vsx-1019 in a 3.1 setup?

answered my own question --- finally waded through the manual and it clearly states that you can set the surround and back surround to "none".
