OP, technically speaking the cam that currently fits all your needs would be the slightly older XR500v. B&H still has them available at $900.
That said, don't get too wrapped up with the x of a lens. 12x on one camera may be a broader zoom range than 10x, but the actual focal range covered can be very different. A perfect example of this issue is looking at the last gen Sony 500v cameras vs. the current gen 550v cameras. The 500v series has a 12x lens and the 550v have 10x lenses, but more importantly, the newer 550v cameras start at a much wider focal length than the older 500v cameras. As such, the newer 550v cameras will not be able to zoom in nearly as much as the older 500v cameras seem to. If you want a camera with more wide end shooting, the newer 550v cams are a better choice. If you want a camera with the ability to zoom in and record things further away, the XR500v would be the better choice.
