Where do I find LLT designs and what materials do I need?

I was wondering is there any LLT designs out there that I I could follow since I am new to do this and what are the basic materials to use?

You can check out any of Neodan's designs. Some of the most common ones are based on what he calls the easy button build. Do a search for easy button in the DIY area and you should find some hits. You can also browse these boards some more and you'll come across quite a few builds.

Good luck,
dbl

Budget and size restrictions will be your biggest things. Mention those first and I am sure we can punch you up something.

The NeoDan designs aren't LLTs from what I've seen.

Brandon is right, need a budget and size limit first.

what is an llt?

a horn with a <16hz corner?
a passive radiator tuned to <16hz?
a ported tuned to <16hz?
an infinite baffle sealed with a linkwitz transform?
a sealed bass array with a linkwitz transform?

Well my budget is maybe around $500 , but if I need to spend a little more it would be alright, and Well I guess size doesn't really matter as long as it is reasonable lol. The living room is like small to medium, so I don't really need anything to get reference. Well right now I have a pair of Energy RC-10 and the Energy S8.3 subwoofer, so anything will be upgrade for me.

if you can measure and cut wood, you might be a good candidate for this one:

the driver only costs about $70, iirc. you could build two. then get a cheap amp and put a little power into them.

if you want to go larger, you could go with a tht.

if you really want an llt, then

scott's build is a good one:

n8dogg's:

steve's build:

neo dan's:

ricci's is insane:

maybe it is just my hunch, but i don't think an llt is actually what you are after.

Whats the minimum size requirement for a LLT sub. Mine are 311 litres each tuned to 13.5hz with a single 18" FI Q18 driver. Does that count.

cheers

Sonos do have some nice anti-resonance properties. I'm tenatively planning some for myself. To find the nearest distributer, call their customer service up. My local hardware stores can order one for me, but at nearly 2x the cost of the distributer .

Although MKT did upgrade to sealed, note that he doubled the drivers and got new amps. Improved? Certainly. But it was a pricey decision to make!
