I ordered a Panasonic P46S2 Friday at around $80 off of the cheapest online price and I'm getting the post-order butterflies.
Now that I'm checking into how I need to set it up, I am noticing some threads about graininess and color accuracy. I plan on doing some self-calibrationand maybe renting a meter.
My thoughts going into the S2 purchase were to get a 2010 model (even with the possibility of some diminished blacks later) over the 2009 models. I will be feeding it with Comcast HD and a new Panasonic 85K blu-ray for HD (and Viera Cast/Netflix content).
Is the S2 a decent choice for general family viewing or should I look into canceling the order and finding a G10/G15? I may use it for it's life or upgrade in a year or two if 3D catches on and pricing drops.
