Hi all, I've been watching this board for a while but decided to jump in with a question: Can anyone please tell me what the difference is between the C7000 and C8000? I've looked at various sights but haven't found anything definitive.

Cleveland Plasma, I live in Detroit -- any chance we could work out a deal where I pickup a TV from you to save shipping?

^^ apparently the c8000 has the cinema smooth feature while the c7000 doesn't, the c8000 also has a judder canceler setting, and its still not known if the c7000 has the real black filter like the c8000 does even though the website says it does

What is a "judder canceler" ?

it pretty much gives the movie a soap opera look, like the 120hz and 240hz lcds do, which i think is very unpleasant lol

Thanks. It sounds like the 8000 is the one for me then.

I plan to purchase the PNC7000 at Best Buy. The 30 day return is a convienient plus. If there is considerable ghosting or crosstalk just drop by the store for a return and either get a VT25 or.... gulp.... wait till next year when there is more content (I'm really banking on the Samsung 2 to 3D conversion to weather the lack of content storm). The 30 day return is pretty great for testing out equipment (AV Receivers, speakers etc.). I tested out a few HD projectors and receivers with that policy.

The conversion will. I have one, only want to watch with the conversion.

Great to know. I'm picking it up tonight. Can't wait to try out different source material for the 2-3D conversion. Any favorite movies with the conversion so far?

The Fifth Element but it is like watching them all improved.

I watched a recorded section of the Masters and it didn't do too much except in scenes where the gallery was around. I did try a sampling of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and they all looked great. The movies themsleves had a lot of pop wihtout 3D enabled, with 3D enabled it's an added depth for sure. I'll try out the 5th Element as well. Maybe we should start a separate thread of movies that look good via conversion.
