The Human Centipede

OK, this sounds CRAAAAAAAZZZZY! Finally coming soon via IFC (maybe on demand too). If you like your horror disgusting and twisted then please see below. I feel gross.

After their car breaks down, two young American women in Germany wind up at a remote villa -- and soon find themselves trapped in a nightmare. Surgeon Dr. Josef Heiter (Dieter Laser) kidnaps them for his demented experiment to create a human "centipede." The plan includes removing their kneecaps so they must walk on all fours, then surgically connecting them and a Japanese man mouth-to-anus to form a human chain in this Dutch horror flick.

This says Oscars all over it. The plot, the acting, the originality.. "5 out of 5 stars!"

Good God, I'm gonna have nightmares tonight.
Thanx a bunch, wizzack.

OK I had to watch the trailer after the comments here. Look at the end credit screen for the note about the medical accuracy...

Hey yankeeman,

I figured the dvd would have been available by now but it looks like they're going for a limited theatrical run first. If I remember correctly IFC made Pontypool available on demand during that time. I'll rent it fo' sho (when my wife isn't around )

I get my horror news from:

horrornews
arrowinthehead
dread central
retroslashers
shocktilyoudrop
twitch
bloody-disgusting (although brad miska is a D-bag)

If you look at the last link wizz supplied for us, looks like there is going to be some nudity in it too! That is always a plus for me....

Does anybody else think of a pornographic term when you read about the anus to mouth sequence??

Doesn't really look like a centipede though. I was hoping for torso segments connected together cuz it would look creepy. I have a fascination but fear of centipedes. But it just looks like three people doing ATM. Still, I'm definitely gonna check it out.

Found them in the bed, in the tub, on the walls, on the couch, and had them drop on me from the ceiling.

KOA:

That's it!! I'm not going to Hawaii! Ever!!! Then there are those crazy Vietnamese ones that are 14" long.
My fear started as a small boy, from watching an Asian movie about centipedes.

Our local newspaper's headlines would read "Local man found dead for no apparent reason". I honestly would scream like a little girl if a centipede fell from the ceiling and landed on me. I may not die, but I can't guarantee I wouldn't lose consciousness for a bit. I can't stand them.

Sudden close proximity to a big bug can give me the heavee geevies. When I lived in AZ we had Bark scorpions that could get in the house if you weren't careful. About the size of a half dollar and somehwat opaque so they can be hard to see until you are close. Nasty poison and can seriously sicken infants. I always kept a golf club laying around...

The plot description includes a certain surgical bonding that would quickly lead all but the head-most 'pede-part to "eat $#!+ and die..."

I've been stung several times, usually by accidentally stepping on them either in bare feet inside or with rubber slippers (flip flops) outside. Kinda like a bee sting with swelling. As soon as you step on them, they flip up and around and try to sting you. My wife likes to take a knife and cut them into pieces, but that usually damages the surface they are on. The one in the picture was crawling up the wall a few inches from where my wife's head was leaning when she turned and saw it. We have rough clear redwood walls, so I got a tupperware/rubbermaid container and put it over it and then slid a piece of cardboard underneath the container, put the lid on and then froze it to kill it. Usually I vacuum them up, sometimes the big ones are a bit harder to suck up. Put a piece of tape over the vac inlet and the dust usually kills them. Sink or tub, just turn on the hot water and that kills them very quickly. The smaller ones actually seem to have a worse sting than the big ones. Outside they are under just about any rock or wood.

Geckos are really more of a pain since they poop over the clothes and get caught in the door jams and decompose and smell not so good. They live behind my plasma (hopefully not getting in) and the baseboard under it is covered in poop. I was doing a small renovation and opened a space inside a closet, there were hundreds of gecko eggs just like the last Alien movie.

We also have scorpions but they are pretty rare, big roaches, earwigs that get everywhere, not to mention feral pigs attacking the house outside.

Wow, i feel the same way, one that big, incredible.

Once in a motel in Kissimmee (right by Orlando), i was in bed in total darkness and something jumped onto my neck and all i could feel was a bunch of legs and who knows what else. Man, i jumped out of bed and ran around the room and went nuts. Turns out it like a giant grasshopper. Geez, almost had a heart attack on that one!!!!
