There is part of me that thinks I should just live with it- I usually only see the pink and purple banding during commercials with a completely white background (like ATT or Geico) and sometimes it is worse than others.
On the other hand, my warranty is up in 2 weeks, so if I don't get this addressed now, it will cost me to do it later.
Will this problem get worse- that is the question? For anyone who has this problem (pink/purple streaks/bands when viewing white/bright backgrounds) and didn't get it fixed, did it get worse for you??
Do you guys think I would be crazy to just try and live with it??
Ok, another follow up- Just got a message and it looks like Samsung may be offering to exchange my TV because of the pink/purple banding issue.
I suppose this is good news, although it does make me a little nervous-other than this issue, I LOVE my TV and do not want to get a new TV that then has other issues.
However, if I do wind up getting a replacement, a question about the current models.
Since I have a p58C8000, I am assuming a comparable replacement would be the PN59D8000, but in looking at that model, I absolutely HATE the claw stand- so much so that I would almost rather have the PN58D7000.
Could someone who knows let me know the differences in the D8000 and the D7000? Would it be crazy to get the 7000 over the 8000??
