Was looking for a 120hz tv with good speakers and this seemed to be the best in the ~800 dollar price range. Was looking at a few Samsungs too, but the speakers were not nearly as good.
This is my first LCD TV; I decided to finally ditch the old CRT (was having too many issues). Overall I am impressed with the TV, still needs some tweaking here and there. I have seen that many people with this TV yet, so I just have a few general questions about some settings.
-Real Cinema: When set to On, is it 24p all the time(even for normal TV)? When watching sports and stuff it seems pretty choppy unless I have trumotion enabled. Was thinking about turning it off for TV and on for Bluray and DVD's. From what I understand when it's on its 24fps, and off is at 30 or 60fps, correct? So it should be off when watching TV since it transmits 60fps correct?
-Picture Wizard: When running this it asks if I want to start in Standard or Preferred mode; I have no idea what the difference is between the two. Before I run the wizard, should I turn all advanced settings off(like dynamic contrast, edge enhancer, digital noise reduction)? Is there anyway to save the profile to anything other than Expert 1?
-I also found more advanced settings like 2-point or 10-point balance, but I couldn't tell the difference between the two when swapping back and forth. Just wondering if it is that important.
Anyways, I can't wait to get home tonight and mess around with the settings some more (I got a few more HDMI cables coming from newegg, so I can hook up my Bluray player and stream netflix).
