2-Channel Analog Interconnects/Speaker Cables

Clarification of my Original Post;
As you add to or improve your current system (Talking about 2-Channel Audio Only) how important
a role (if any) does making changes to your interconnects and speaker cables play into your decisions in the up-grade process. Do you feel their is merit in changing what you now use, or under what circumstances would you make a change to either or both and Why?
My concern in the original post that I was trying to avoid was people criticizing or chastising others
because their beliefs are not the same; calling people morons, idiots, etc. So all I was requesting was 'respect' for different opinions and comments in relationship to ONLY their OWN systems, not
those of others. I hope this helps, Please feel free to share your thoughts without feeling intimidated
by those with opposite view points. I look forward to hearing from many of you.

The first thing I always look for in someone else's system is what cables he uses. It tells me right away if he's a moron or not.

I do the same and also talk to them to see if they are just moron or moron with attitude. The latter is more dangerous to online forums like this.

laughs... you guys need to elaborate on this... if the stance on them being moron is because they have 500 dollar interconnects or just plain ol' monoprice interconnects.

i have been arguing for about 20 years with various dealers, enthusiasts, friends and know-it-all's about cables... im either going to find the paradise of audio-cable-snake-oil believers... or

a brick wall of people who claim they can hear difference between power cords, digital cables and interconnects...

bring on the 12 dollar hdmi's and 20 dollar coax's.

Sorry if that was not clear, Yes and at 55 years, you do not always remember the rules of 'there' vs. 'their'.. SO and if I may please put the question back on point, I'm interested in what our members use, but also what kind of considerations were used in makeing their decisions?

I get all my stuff from radio shack. They don't have the absolute best pricing but they are 3 blocks away, good enough, and whenever I want cables I tend to want them RIGHT NOW!

Hey, somebody's got to keep those guys in business, it really is kinda inexplicable that they're still around.

I will take it one step further, the people who must buy the latest and greatest cables NOW!
a few years ago I traded/sold cables as a hobby. The hobby netted me my 885, Sunfire amp and a few other items. The people I dealt with would just about sell me there cables for nothing so they could upgrade to the latest and greatest. Then I would resell at a very nice margin. Do I think expensive cables are that much better then a solidly built cable...no. But, allot of people out there do and they are will to pay.

Ah, honest graft.

Selling people what they want to buy isn't a crime, as long as you aren't misrepresenting the product. And there are enough true believers out there that you don't need to misrepresent anything. Your customers will do that for you.

Still and all, I have to say your ethical bar is set lower than mine.

OK 'az' I'll give you an answer.............

I use 'Ultra' Signal Cable speaker cable in my set up...why ?? because it's well made, afforfable and it's specifications (inductance, capacitance, resisitance) match up well with my speakers.

I have nothing to hide, just look at my profile. Here are the answers to your questions;
'Industry' = Audio/Video. Cables = No, I do not make or work for any specific factory.
NO, I'm not looking for 'sales leads' or doing 'market research'. All of my gear and the cables I use are clearly posted. I'm asking as I have already said, strictly as a two channel hobbyist. Dude, You need to chill out. Not everyone here has a secondary agenda as you seem to think. BTW.. Any reason WHY you do not have your own gear and cables listed on your profile? And you accuse me of being 'dishonest'? I guess you have NO interest in responding to the original post, so say what you like It really makes NO difference to me. If anyone else would like to actually answer my original question, that would be great! To those of you who have already, "Thanks" interesting responses

Go on their website (Siganal Cable) for specs

my speakers ...... Martin Logan 'Spire'

electrostatics present a 'capacitive load' thus low levels of cable capacitence is a good thing.
