You can't and WILL NOT EVER win this battle my friend. I know
and you know that cables and interconnects DO make a difference.
How do you know this? Have you measured them? Do you have any data? Have you done any tests?
Or is it, as always, that you listened and actually trusted
what you heard.
They are SO set on 'Debunking' ANY reason WHY there is ANY difference,
even when many a 'white paper' has been written on the subject (See Audioquest web site)
that I think even if they listened, they would NOT even believe their own ears!
That's not true at all. I've spent a great deal of time SEARCHING and TESTING for possible differences where they have been claimed, and this healthy skepticism has never born any fruit. But I always continued to search and remain open to the possibilities of differences, however there has never been any evidence of it.
I have participated in a blinded listening test of $20K speaker cabling in an attempt to find claimed differences. Have you ever conducted a proper blinded listening test? No.
I have listened a great deal, but I also know without any doubt that sighted listening tests are useless, precisely because one CANNOT trust their own ears. That's the most FUNDAMENTAL part of auditory testing that has been illustrated by scores
of scientific studies over generations of testing.
And that subjectivists such as yourself ignore even the most BASIC of scientific understanding of WHAT we hear, HOW we hear, and WHY, is no surprise because it is only by clasping your hands OVER your ears and screaming "NO I'M NOT GOING TO LISTEN TO YOUR FACTS AND SCIENCE" can you possibly maintain such an ignorant position.
it IS the 'Righteous Indignation' that 'THEY'
are 100% Correct and 'ANYONE ELSE' is WRONG. That I agree bug's the crap outta me as well.
So do you believe the earth is flat?
Do you believe in alien abduction?
Do you believe in unicorns?
Do you believe in the toothfairy?
Do you believe in Santa Claus?
Do you believe there is a pot of gold at the end of rainbows?
As someone who's mother was a classically trained musician
and I, 7 years of voice training, you know I can hear differences similar to tube gear vs solid state for example.
Of course. And those differences exist. They are measured directly, and can be heard in blinded listening tests. There is nothing at all controversial about that.
So WE and THOUSANDS of other good
Hi-Fi folks are completely off the mark, do not have the ability to hear ANY difference,
'Have drunk the Magic Kool-Aid', 'Buy into the Rubbish', and so on
and BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, 'Science is an Absolute' If I can't hear it, NOBODY else can,
Yes. Your belief is as crazy as believing in flying unicorns or a flat earth. It is entirely devoid of rational thought, logic, or basic human thought processes. It is, in a word, insane. Stone cold nuts.
You CAN'T TRUST your own ears, ad nauseum... So just 'Thank-God'
neither one of us have to listen to their systems.
Of COURSE you can't trust your own ears in a sighted test. That's the most basic aspect of auditory testing. Why do you think that EVERY medical trial uses a placebo control?
You can't POSSIBLY be ignorant enough to believe that you can simply "trust your hearing." How ridiculously quaint!
