About 4 minutes into the program look for the guide to get into her Jeep and when the sun hits her LEFT shoulder and arm, you will easily see ghosting at its best(worst?). There is a ghost image of her left arm which is easy to see. I've never seen this much ghosting in any 3D video. Keep watching, as this goes on for quite some time.

The FW 1026 did not fix this. I am a firm believer that the ghosting problem has very little to do with the plasma/LCD that you have, and much more to do with the actual video/film production.

It would be interesting for other 3D owners who own a different brand of 3D set to test it on this video to see if it is replicated.

Anyone know what was added to this update, as it went from minimal numeric increases (120-122) and jumped to 1026.

I have seen the ghosting that you are talking about on both the Panasonic 54" VT25 and the Sony HX800. Each TV suffers from the ghosting inside the car as you have mentioned but not in exactly the same place.

Still very disturbing especially if you bought these TV's for the 3D picture.

So...is it the mastering of the 3D disk, since it is replicated on all three panels or is it inherent in all panels at this time or the 3D glasses??

Anybody else having problems getting the 1026 firmware from the Samsung website?

It's slow as heck and will not complete the download. I have not had this problem with any of the previous updates (several so far).

I downloaded it yesterday from the Samsung website around 7:00pm EST and it came down pretty quickly (under 4 minutes) for me over a DSL line.

Guess you got in while the getting was good, I cannot even get more than 50% when using a download manager (GetRight) and with just the web browser download it drops at around 10%. Something is certainly going on with this download, I can download anything else with no problems at all, on a 22+ MB cable line. Maybe the site is just getting hammered...?

* 8/4/2010 - Been trying for 4 days to get this firmware and still cannot get it to completely download, is anybody else having issues with getting 1026?

Is it possible it has something to do with your download manager(GetRight)?

I downloaded this with no problems, but straight to the USB port on the panel(with a USB thumb drive inserted). Then I unzipped the file, went back to the panel, plugged in the USB thumb drive, and the panel "found" the new update and loaded it. As you know, you still can't download straight to the panel. If we could, this would probably solve many of these problems.

Even without GetRight it will not finish the download (GetRight gets more of it however before it fails), something is up with Samsung's server as I have had a couple of PM's so far from others that took multiple attempts to get it. I am in no rush for the firmware but I have had no issue with any previous firmware download from Samsung and their blu ray player downloads work just fine (from the player itself). Would be great if they could get the tv's working like they are supposed to so we can just update on the tv itself.

I put the FW file on a mirror so if anybody is having issues getting it from Samsungs site, there is now an alternative.

Hey. Just DL'd the 1026 FW from samsung's site for my 50c7000 plasma.

However, I am weary to install it though because I just did the service menu change to c8000. Is this firmware going to screw that up for me, because knowing I could change it to a c8000 is the only reason I bought this TV in the first place. But I want to try new firmware because the 3D has horrid ghosting on MonstersAliens that came with the bundle. Completely unwatchable.

1.) How do I check what firmware I am currently running out of the box?

2.) Will updating from whatever FW to 1026 screw up my service menu change from c7000 to c8000? I DO NOT want to lose those extra options to turn off motion dejudder.

Thanks!

If you go into the software upgrade section it should say which firmware you are running.

No it will not do anything to the 7000->8000 hack, mine has been that way since I bought it a couple months ago and I have done about 4 firmware updates with zero issues.

Maybe it's just me but did anyone else updated to the latest firmware feel that ghosting is more pronounced compared to the previous version?
Can someone share the address of the mirror that was set up to download this from? I've tried about 10 times over the last week... and I never get the full file to download.

Thanks.

This was interesting for me. I checked for the update via my network and it told me none available, but mine told me it was 1021.1. I then had to download and install via USB to get it to 1026. Strange!

Based on this report, firmware 1026 defaults MJC to off.

Apparently, Samsung released the PNC7000 series in April with a undefeatable dejudder setting. After three months and lot of complaints, at CNET and on avsforum's 139+ page owner's thread, an update is now available that, according to Samsung, will remove the processing.

Anyone still have 1022.1? For some reason I can't upgrade to 1026, wondering if its because I skipped 1022.1, currently still on 1021.

I've tried multiple USB drives and nothing works. Yes - I do know how to extract the file. Update from network doesn't work either.

Bring it back to the store you got it at and say you installed a firmware update and it broke.

Or call Samsung.

thanks, I have called Sumsung. They want to replace the main board, I said No Way!!! new set I will not have refurbish board installed.. I will return for an exchange, but my issue is more with the FW! why was it released if it can impact in such a way. Is 1026 the right way to go? When I get my new set do I just ignore the FW upgraded that is supposed to fix other problems?

Any firmware update has the possibility of breaking hardware. As far as I know you are the only person who has had problems so I would blame something in the TV you had that was not quite up to spec and broke when the firmware was applied.

Hey guys I recently installed the system update T-valausc-1026.0 firmware on my tv and don't like the way it made the picture look. I want to go back to the old firmware version that i had originally, but samsung will not supply that to me. Do any of you know where i could download any version between 1019 and 1022, or do any of you have one of these and maybe could send it to me?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
You can't downgrade to a lower firmware.
Glad I didn't upgrade to the 1026 with all these reported problems.

I'm staying put with my 1021.1 for now.
