im currently running a windows 7 system powered by a radeon 4350 with native hdmi connection, the monitor being 1024x768 res.
my setup is to connect the hdmi to our family tv which is a 1920x1080 res hdtv
i have ati catalyst 10.3 installed
basically my intention is to play video files through MPC-HC on my tv while i can still do casual surfing. If i i cant run any other tasks while playing the video, then its ok to live without it.
what i tried to do was use clone, however i found out that its not feasible due to res differences.next i tried extended, but im really confused abt it because my monitor was showing normal desktop while my tv only showed the wallpaper.i also found out that my mouse goes way beyond the desktop edge due to the extended more.
then i discovered the functions of 'windows' key + P which was to let u choose the mode u want,i tinkered around and found the projector only mode which sort of suits my intentions, but causes my monitor to sleep.
is there any other suitable way to achieve what i actually want??it sounds easy but the software doesnt seem user-friendly
