It is kinda sad how the game has (again) turned into "Gnasherfest 2011"...the whiny b!tchboi fanclub complained about damage radius of the sawed-off, and got it nerfed, before that they complained about hipfire damage with the retro...and had it modified...
Both of these weapons balanced the gnasherboi's so they couldn't get as close as they needed to, to accomplish, either the one shot obliteration, or the two shot down...so we have what we have now...
I still get caught up in gnasher cross fire, but my best advice is: keep as big of a gap as you can against the rush.
Retro is great mid-range stoping power (it's my weapon of choice 90% of the time)...but you really gotta watch the wall-bouncer's...it's hard to sight them in, and you can rarely drop to hipfire to down them without getting blown to little bits. Long distance, active reload on the Hammerburst, and Lancer With it's giant clip) is hard to beat...they can down you from accross the map.
I have a hard time in the close-quarters maps like Rustlung...some fool always catches me from the side, around a corner...Not so much on the more open maps, as you can roll back and keep firing to get the down...
Looking forward to Raam's Shadow...
