Exactly. Although per earlier on this very page there's indication that at least the 300 is still available, these players are essentially discontinued (I'd surmise e- and retailers are selling through remaining stock already on hand). Panasonic rolled these players out last spring, over seven months ago. That's a "long" time in the Panasonic BD player lifecycle.
We've gone from some of us
kvetching about the disc only being available to new set buyers, to some complaining about the kit price when it became available via buying the kit and no display, to some saying they got the "shaft" because they didn't get it for 'free' when they bought a player announced at CES . . . 2010.

I think it's logical that they're incentivizing their latest players. I wouldn't be surprised to soon see a similar deal offered in connection with the BDT110, 210 and/or 310 purchase.
