Do you have "Quick Start" mode on?

I don't have it on, but it does draw significantly more electricity when this mode is enabled and may heat up the unit?
'Quick start' mode is indeed On. I'll turn it off and see what happens but I am curious if you guys experience any warming of the bottom right when the Quick Start is on On.

Does anyone know where I can get an enhanced firmware upgrade for this player except *****************? I got duped buying this player on E-bay thinking it was a US model and now I can't return it. I know I'm missing out on other features (VUDU/ Netflix I believe), and who knows what else. All I really really need is to play my Region 1 DVDs. Any help would be appreciated.

Do the 300/350 have speaker distance and level matching menus in set up which the manual doesn't refer to?

I'm catching up on this thread. In case you didn't get a response back in November to your post on page 16: I'm investigating firmware reversion possibilities due to reports herein that 1.61 gimped the speaker level calibration.

My understanding is that the only way to revert to prior firmware is to send the player back to Panasonic.

Anybody have problems viewing Crank2 on BDT350. It loads and gets stuck with a triangle on screen and can't get past it, shows only partial screen of previews with the triangle froze on the screen? I have uptodate firmware??

BDT350 connected to Onkyo 875 via HDMI, then HDMI from Onk to Panasonic 65VT25.

Try putting in an SD card in the player if you don't have one.

Elaborate please? The player powers up fine, shows you the home screen, you press drawer open . . . and what happens? Is there an error message onscreen? Look closely at the front of the player--is the tray jammed perhaps? Perhaps a disc was left in the player from the store that is now lodged?

Try simultaeneously pressing the "POWER" button on the remote and the STOP button on the deck. There is probably a disc still in it too!

I will trade someone a DMP-BDT300 for a DMP-BDT310. The DMP-BDT300 has 7.1 analog audio outs and a component video out while the DMP-BDT310 does not. Both players have dual HDMI outs.

Re ^^

Given the issues with 1.61 and 1.73, you may want to mention what firmware your 300 is on?

How will putting in a SD card fix my issue with Crank2?
Lionsgate titles are authored in such a way as to frequently require that an SD card be in place on players that accept one for the BD to even load. Odd/sad but true. I've seen this mentioned many times in many player threads. Why don't you try it and report back?

As PaulR.S. said. Lionsgate has a weird way of authoring discs. I've had to put an SD card into every player to get some or all Lionsgate titles to play, including Crank2. It was discussed in the Crank thread.

I was able to successfully get Avatar in 3D Blu-ray using the UPC and a copy of the sales receipt from my BDT-DMP300. I did buy my player during the promotion period.

I tried it no change. It returned Crank2 however should have tried it in my BD 30. My BD350 was a hit and miss on playing other titles, most times no video just audio. I played titles that wouldn't work in my BD350 (Transporter 2)and in my BD30 and it worked fine. I then triedTransporter 2 in my BD350 with HDMI direct to VT25 and HDMI sub out for audio and it worked just fine. The BC350 Main out run through my Onkyo 875 had issues, even though it was not 3D video and Onk is not 3D compliant it still had issues. I guess it is the Onk compat issues with BD 350. I am in the process of replacing Onk to a 5008, awaiting delivery.

Odd; thx for reporting back. "It" = I, as in it was a rental disc?

I think he means he was able to get the disc under the promo for the BDT100 (?), not that there was an explicit BDT300/350 promo. My understanding is that these players were discontinued (August/September) before the Avatar 3D BD was even "available" (December).

I filled out the DMP-BDT100 3D Blu-ray Avatar promotion Form and mailed in the UPC of my DMP-BDT300. I sent a copy of my sales receipt of when I purchased my DMP-BDT300 and the UPC from my player which I cut out of the box. I then mailed everything in to the Rebate Center. My MP-BDT300 was purchased during the rebate period that was applicable to the DMP-BDT100 players. I received my 3D Blu-ray of Avatar from UPS yesterday.

Basically, I did everything the rebate form requested except I sent in the information from my DMP-BDT300 rather than a DMP-BDT100.

How long ago did you send in the paperwork? Just curious how long it took to get your disc.

I sent it certified return receipt mail and they received it on February 7 and I received Avatar in 3D Blu-ray on March 2.

The 2011 Panasonic Blu-ray Players are now available and have added streaming capability. I hope that Panasonic will do a FW update for our players which will make as many of the new streaming services that are found on the 2011 models available to us. I am especially interested in having the new Netflix Interface. The new Netflix Interface allows users to search and directly add movies to their instant queue. It also allows select movies to be streamed in 1080p and 5.1 Dolby Digital.

Panasonic has been very good at supporting its customers in the past. I hope they continue this commitment to its customers by upgrading our players.

its dolby digital plus. its more then DD, but less then trueHD. the vudu on the panasonic 85 will do DD+. same with the new models. you should try and see if you can get vudu DD+ with it..try inception or toy story 3.

My Panasonic DMP-BDT300 will do Dolby Digital Plus over VUDU. You are correct, the new Netflix Interface on the 2011 Panasonic 3D Blu-ray players offers 5.1 Dolby Digital Plus on select titles. Even more reason for Panasonic to give us a FW upgrade. Our 2010 Panasonic 3D Blu-ray Players can definitely handle it based upon the current VUDU streaming.

The DLNA is also gimped in the 300/350 compared to the new 110/210/310.
